Oct 23, 2010 was Proclaimed Young Artists Day in Kona by both Governor Lingle and Mayor Kenoi. Arts of Kona hosted over 265 students in grades 3-12, representing over 25 schools and organizations, at the 2nd Annual Young Artists' Showcase at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Convention Center. Due to increased registrations, this year's event was extended to 5 hours. Students performed on stage throughout the entire day, while visual and cultural artists displayed their artwork on tables in the same venue. Estimated attendance was 450-500 residents and visitors. Well known radio personality, Kahikina – was Master of Ceremonies.

The 2010 Member Artists’ Showcase and Sale was held Feb. 20, 2010 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Convention Center. The event was opened with a Blessing offered by Rudy Valle of Island Breeze. Three hours of entertainment by member performers and loads of tables of art work were exhibited for sale.

The Arts of Kona held a fund raiser event at a private residence in Kona Hawaii. This is a short 10 minute video of the 2.5 hour music and dance performance. There was was also an art auction and pupus, desserts by Smart Chef Hawaii. If you should have an opportunity to attend one of these events you will find yourself having a great experience!

The FIRST Young Artists' Showcase was held on Oct 24, 2010, at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Convention Center. Arts of Kona welcomed over 235 students in grades 3-12 to exhibit their art in all disciplines: cultural, performance and visual. Performances filled the stage for the entire 3 hours.
